The history of GAR S.A.S. begins with Granja Alfonso Roth, one of Uruguay's most respected beekeeping families and among the earliest pioneers in the industrial development of propolis extracts in South America. The origins of the company date back to 1932, when a Swiss-German immigrant family settled in Uruguay and established a successful beekeeping operation in the department of Colonia. During the 1970s, Ing.
